A 48-year-old man was shot and wounded in Barangay Tumitus last Monday afternoon.

Ambri Sabirin y Talum, married, sustained a bullet wound in the body and was rushed to the Vitali Lying-in Hospital for treatment.

Police identified the suspect as Ismael Surain of SitioBato Bila, Tumitus.

A police report disclosed that Sabirin went to Sitio Bato Bila to buy fish and while on his way back home, Surain appeared and shot him once.

The suspect escaped after the incident while the victim was able to run and sought for help from residents who took him to the hospital.

A deformed slug of an unknown caliber was recovered at the crime scene.

Police were looking into personal dispute as the possible motive behind the gun attack. – Dan Toribio Jr.
