Ulep was tagged as one of the kidnappers of Australian national  Warren Rodwell who was seized on November 2012 in Ipil Zambonga Sibugay.

Zamboanga Sibugay  Police Provincial Director Sr. Supt. Celso L. Bael disclosed that the Anti- Kidnapping Group deserves the commendation  because they worked hard for Ulep’s arrest since Day 1 of the kidnapping of Rodwell.
