Highway Patrol Group-9 operatives have seized two motorcycles that were ready to be loaded into an interisland vessel bound for Jolo at Zamboanga City Wharf.

Senior Inspector Mervin S. Claret described the two motorcycles a one red-black Honda CFT 125 model 2013, with plate number AA 25587 and a yellow-black Honda CFT 125 model 2015 with plate number NE 10166

Both Honda motorcycles have no record in the Land Transportation Office data base.

Claret said before the two motorcycles were seized, SPO2 Joel L. Claret, SPO1 Bobby Solis and PO1 Mark Ybañez  and he conducted a routinary  check of  all  motorvehicles and motorcycles  being loaded to the vessel docked at the wharf. Upon checking, the team spotted the two motorcycles which are ready to be loaded to a vessel bound for Jolo. The team asked the possessor about the documents of the two units.

When the HPG-9 team checked it with the LTO Data Base, the result was “no record  found “.

Claret said the possessor, a certain Mav Amel, presented spurious documents. The team seized and  impounded  the two Hondas  at Camp Batalla.

Sr. Supt. Joel R. Dimaano, HPG-9 chief, lauded the team for a job well done. He ordered Claret to coordinate with the Crime Laboratory Office-9 for the conduct of macro-etching examinations and further investigation to determine  the real owners of the two motorcycles. — Allen Abastillas
