Beng hails Zamboangueño soldier in Metrobank’s TOPS PDF Print E-mail

Mayor Beng Climaco has conveyed her congratulatory and commendation to a Zamboangueño soldier, TSgt. Romel B. Bancairin of the Philippine Navy (Marines) for having been chosen as one of The Outstanding Philippine Soldiers (TOPS) for 2015, a joint project of the Metrobank Foundation, Inc. and Rotary Cluib of Makati Metro.

TSgt. Bancairin now joins the roster of elite and outstanding soldiers of the country. He will receive a trophy and a cash prize of P400,000, courtesy of Metrobank Foundation, during the awarding ceremony on September 3, 2015 at the Auditorium of Metrobank Plaza in Makati City.

The Outstanding Philippine Soldiers (TOPS) is an annual search, which recognizes and pays tribute to the outstanding examples of gallantry, dedication, professionalism and integrity among members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

The final Board of Judges for this year’s search was chaired by Senator Loren Legarda and co-chaired by Social Welfare and Development Secretary Corazon Juliano Soliman.

The other TOPS 2015 winners are Col. Danilo Gines Pamonag, PA, of Palayan City; MSgt. Arnel Guerrero Cariaga, PA, of Quezon City; MSgt. Ferdinand Cabungal Lascano, PA, Quezon City; Col. Ariel Reyes Caculitan, PN, Manila; Disbursing Clerk, 3rd Class Dennis Larracochea Gurrea, PN, Taguig City; Col. Maxima Oximoso Ignacio, PAF, Pasay City; Sr. MSgt. Romeo Castro Austria, PAF, Quezon City; SSgt. Adriano Luzong Reginales Jr., PAF, Cavite; and Maj. Jonna Dalida Dalaguit, MC, of Cagayan de Oro City.— Vic Larato
