A house made of light material was gutted down in a fire that broke out in Barangay Guisao yesterday morning.

Police said the house belonged to Oliver Guevara Gregorio, 39.

Investigation disclosed that the fire ignited by sparks from faulty electrical wiring started around 9 a.m.

Shahana Mae Gregorio told the police that she saw the electrical outlet inside the bed room emitting sparks and later flames.

Fire investigator estimated the damage at P100,000.

Meanwhile, men of the Culianan Police Station led by Sr. Insp. Elmer Solon arrested Rey Francisco, 32, married, of Salaan during a buy-bust operation last Thursday afternoon.

Confiscated from his possession were two sachets of shabu and P200 marked money.

The suspect was detained at the police station while the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examination. – Dan Toribio Jr.
