PESO sets Job Fair Sept. 8 \with 2K vacancies PDF Print E-mail

Some 2,000 job vacancies will be up for grabs when the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) under the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) on Tuesday, September 8 at Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar from 8am to 4pm.

Held in celebration of Mayor Beng Climaco’s 49th birthday, the day-long job fair will be in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment and aims to provide employment opportunities and ultimately address the problem of poverty in the city. It is likewise intended to meet the manpower requirement of various industries that will soon operate in Zamboanga.

Some 2,000 job vacancies for local placement will be made available to qualified skilled and unskilled job seekers.

Job seekers are encouraged to grab this rare opportunity.  Anybody who is a college graduate of any course, experienced or inexperienced; college level, high school graduate or high school level with ages 18 and above may apply for any of the positions available.

Interested applicants are requested to bring their resume’ and other credentials for screening and interview. They should be in business attire. Pre-registration is ongoing at the PESO-CSWDO in Pettit Barracks from September 1 to 7.

Registration may also be done during the Job Fair.

Meanwhile, the activity on Sept. 8 is in line with the birthday of Mayor Climaco, whose thrust is to provide employment opportunities for Zamboanga constituents. — PESO/Sheila Covarrubias
