In another development, Hamad called on the people in the region to help the bureau with information on any cargo forwarder in the region loading contraband or illegal article or equipment for the use of terrorism or equipment for lawlessness and mislead the government or any economic sabotage activities within the Customs Zone.

Hamad reiterated that it is only the Bureau of Customs that can open any containerized cargo van either with domestic or foreign origin as provided for under the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines.
