Man, wife killed in Jolo blast; 4 others injured PDF Print E-mail

A man and his wife were killed, while four others were wounded when an explosive device used for blast fishing exploded in their midst in Jolo, Sulu yesterday morning.
Killed were Idsih Hadjula, 35 ,and his wife Ruby. Three of the wounded victims were identified as Imsani Sandalan, Abdong Sandalan and Javier Soliman. The couple sustained burns and injuries in their body and died on the spot.

The four wounded were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Initial investigation conducted by the Jolo police disclosed that Ibsi was making explosive devices to be used for blast fishing in their house at Zone 2, Barangay Tulay, when one of the devices exploded.

Bomb experts conducted a post blast investigation and recovered several shrapnel and explosive components at the scene.
The four wounded were at the vicinity of the Abdulla house during the incident.
