Men of the Police Station 4 based in Culianan led by Sr. Insp. Elmer Solon intercepted a truck transporting 100 bags of fertilizer, the other day.

A police report disclosed that policemen stopped an Isuzu Elf truck driven by Zharief Hassan of Taluksangay holding a student permit license after they noticed sacks of fertilizer aboard.

During inspection, the driver presented a collection receipt, sales invoice and delivery receipt and failed to present transport permit from the office of the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority from the place of origin which is Davao City.

Police said the fertilizer was bought from Zetryl Chemical Philippines Inc., in Davao City and were intended to deliver to Sulu Lupahsug Coffee Company Inc., in Jolo, Sulu.

The truck loaded with the 100 sacks of fertilizer was impounded at the Culianan Police Station pending its proper turn-over to the concerned agency. – Dan Toribio Jr.
