A young man was shot and wounded by a gunman in Busay, Sacol Island last Wednesday night.
Sacol Police Station commander Chief Insp. Nonito Asdai identified the victim as Akil Uririh y Tenggo, 22, married.

A police report disclosed that Uririh was at the sala of his mother’s house around 7:30 p.m. when a gunman broke in and shot him. He sustained a bullet wound in the left foot and was taken to the Zamboanga City Medical Center.

The report said that Uririh failed to recognize the attacker due to darkness.
Asdai and his men were still conducting follow-up operations for the possible arrest of the gunman.

In another police report, Lorena Partoza of Tetuan was arrested by the police last Wednesday on the strength of a warrant for grave slander with case number 49787.
The warrant was issued by Judge Ivan Mendoza of the Regional Trial Court Branch 14.

The court recommended a bail of P6,000 for her temporary liberty. — Dan Toribio Jr.
