Lamitan City, Basilan Mayor Rose U. Mayor Furigay expressed gratitude to Automous Region in Muslim Mindanao Gov. Mujiv Hataman who presided the signing of the MOA — a go signal of the project.

According to Furigay, the  road concreting project is very important to the people for accessiblities most especially for farmers in bringing and transporting their products to the market.

Furigay said her leadership is focusing on the construction of farm to market roads in every barangay of the city mostly in agricultural areas  to make farmers comfortable in transporting their produce.

“Our major products here in the city is rubber extract  and copra nuts. Transporting the volume of tons of these products needs good and concreted roads,” Furigay stressed.
