Seaweeds farmer hacks live-in mate PDF Print E-mail

A seaweeds farmer hacked and seriously wounded his live-in-partner in Barangay Tictabon, Sacol Island last Tuesday afternoon.

Culianan Police Station chief, Sr. Insp. Elmer Solon said that Jocelyn Canday, 27,  was hacked by Edwin Molijon. Both arre natives of Zamboanga Sibugay.

Initial investigation disclosed that the couple had a jealousy dispute around 3 p.m. during which Molijon grabbed a bolo and hacked Canday three times.

The victim was rushed to the hospital while Molijon was held by the police.

Meanwhile men of the Tetuan Police Station led by Supt. Nonito Asdai recovered  last Tuesday  53 motorcycles from a shop operating with expired permit in Talon-Talon.

A police report disclosed that policemen went to  the place after receiving reports that several dismantled motorcycles were spotted in the area.

When policemen arrived, they interrogated Victoriano Arquiza, Edgardo Arquiza and Rene Francisco who were operating the shop.

The three told the police that the 53 motorcycles were undergoing repair

However the police found out that the shop was operating with Mayor’s permit issued in December 31, 1998 and was not renewed since then. — Dan Toribio Jr.
