A 30-year-old man was shot and wounded by a policeman after he went berserk — stabbing  his female cousin and attacking policemen at Lakian Compound, Suterville last Wednesday night.

Wounded were Nurujin Indasan and his cousin Ainie Jalim.

A police report disclosed that Indasan, armed with a kitchen knife, was on an unruly behavior around 7 p.m. His cousin Jalim tried to convince him to go home and throw his knife.

Indasan refused to do so that prompted Jalim to seek assistance from the Central PoliceStation’s Patrol Section.

Indasan remained unruly and stabbed Jalim on the armpit.

Policemen responded in the area and tried to calm down Indasan as they convinced him to surrender but he attacked the lawmen prompting one of the policemen  to shoot him in the right thigh.

Policemen immediately disarmed him. He and her cousin were brought to the hospital for treatment. – Dan Toribio Jr.
