A policeman was placed under investigation after he shot a dog at a subdivision in Mercedes last Saturday.

In another incident, 13 motorcycles involved in an illegal racing were held by policemen in Divisoria at midnight last Saturday .

PO3 Elmer Toribio of the Culianan Police Station and a resident of Blue Homes Subdivision along Calle Real, Mercedes reported to the Police Station 4 around 4:20 p.m. that his neighbor PO1 Albinar Peralta Milahad, 34, shot a stray dog in the presence of some residents.

A police report disclosed that Toribio was inside his store cum residence when he saw Milahad passed by and shot a dog.

Milahad then picked the spent shell and returned his pistol to his waist.

Sr. Insp. Elmer Solon, Culianan Police Station chief, ordered Toribio and other members of the station to conduct Milahad to the station for investigation.

Milahad was ordered to undergo paraffin test while the gun was submitted ay the crime laboratory for balistic test.

Meanwhile, policemen of Divisoria Police Station led by Chief Insp. Arlan Delumpines rushed to Lobregat highway in Boalan around 11:45 p.m. after they receiving a report that an illegal racing was  in progress.

A total of 13 motorcycles were seized and brought to the station.

Delumpines said they have issued citation tickets to the dgivers. — Dan Toribio
