A businesswoman was wounded while her husband escaped unhurt during a hold-up at Gregorio Drive, Sampaguita Road, Putik last Sunday night.

Aina Abedine Rahman, 40, sustained a bullet wound in the buttocks and was rushed to the hospital.

Initial investigation disclosed that Aina was riding tandem on a motorcycle driven by her husband Anisur Rahman, 50, on their way home from their store in Guiwan when two men, apparently waiting for them, blocked their path and announced the heist at a dimlit spot along Gregorio Drive.

One of the holduppers shot Aina on  the buttocks before seizing her bag containing P3,000.

The holduppers then boarded a Racal motorcycle and sped towards an unknown direction.

Police recovered four spent shells and a live bullet of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.

Chief Insp. Arlan Delumpines and his men have been investigating the case. – Dan Toribio Jr.
