A resident of Quiniput was shot to death by his neighbor last Thursday night.

Daniel Delos Reyes y Mendoza, 36, sustained a bullet wound in the head. He was shot by Jomarie Bejerano y Dela Cruz, 24.

Initial investigation showed that Delos Reyes and Bejerano have engaged in a heated argument after he accused the latter for peeping is wife.  During their altercation, Bejerano pulled out a handgun and shot Delos Reyes in the head.

The victim died on the spot.

Police said the gunman fled towards Sitio Cansilayan in the same barangay.

Curuan police station has readied homicide charge against Bejerano  while manhunt operation was still ongoing as of press time.

Meanwhile, four persons were arrested in three separate drug bust operations in different places in the city.

Around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, men of Police Station 10 were manning a checkpoint at Miluao, Patalon when Michael Titing, 21, and Rico Rei Ortiz, 22, both of Lawingan, Labuan came aboard a motorcycle. During inspection, police recovered a sachet of suspected shabu from their possession.

Around 1 p.m. Thursday, policemen of the Sta. Maria Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation in Cabatangan rresulting in  the arrest of Mark Wee, 23.

Confiscated from his possession were two sachets of suspected shabu and marked money.

Around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, men of the Police Station 2 arrested James Evangelista, 25, in Barangay Curuan.
