District 1 Congressman Celso Lobregat requested school authorities of the Sinunuc National High School to come up with a Master Development Plan for the school campus.

Lobregat visited the school recently in the course of his sorties to different school campuses in the west coast to have a looksee into on-going construction of school buildings as well as to pinpoint probable locations for new classroom buildings. He was accompanied by a team from Dep-ED led by OIC, Schools Division Superintendent Pedro Melchor Natividad and DPWH team headed by Chief, Planning & Design Section Engr. Roberto Dondi Sta. Elena.

While there, Lobregat met with Sinunuc Barangay Chair Pilarica Ledesma and School Principal Dr. Salihmatal Lagbas. Together, they went around the sprawling school campus to look for a suitable area for a new classroom building.

Lobregat said DepEd has programmed the construction of a 2-storey 6 classroom building at Sinunuc NHS funded under Batch 1 (SHS) 2015. It has an appropriation of Php 8.8-million.

Lobregat underscored the need to plan out carefully the setting up of additional infrastructures within the campus based on a Master Development Plan.

Lobregat also visited the site of a 2-storey 6 classroom building under construction at the nearby Sinunuc Elementary School funded under Batch  3 (BEFF) 2014 at a cost of Php 8.2-million. — Jubels Santos
