Kidnap gang leader found dead in Ipil PDF Print E-mail

One of the leaders of a notorious kidnap-for-ransom group was found dead at the Bacalan River in Tenan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay Wednesday morning.

Police identified the dead kidnapper as Ibni Basaludin, sub leader of the Barahama Alih Group operating in Zamboanga Sibugay.

Police said that Basaludin has pending warrant of arrest for kidnapping and his group was involved in the kidnappings of  Cynthia Cavoverde , Alexa Dela Cruz, Warren Rodwell,  Pijie Li, Nwie Song Hong, Jampong Lin Yuankai,  Jian Luo, And Luisita Galvez.

Basaludin’s group was also responsible for the killing of SSgt. Juan Ablao of the 44th IB, and the burning of a police patrol car during an encounter at Barangay Tenan, Ipil last May 2, 2015. He was also tagged in the recent robbery at a MLhuiller branch in Ipil where P2.9 million worth of jewelry items were taken.

Basaludin also has a pending warrant of arrest for murder with criminal case no. i-5002 issued by Judge Josefino P Bael of the Regional Trial Court Branch 24, Ipil, and murder & attempted murder with cc no. i-5304 and i-5305, issued by Judge Anthony D. Isaw. – Dan Toribio
