Two persons were shot and wounded in separate gun attacks in Tumaga and Baliwasan Thursday night and at dawn Friday.

Albert Aquino y Tan, 32, single, was shot and wounded around 10:30 p.m. by his neighbor Sufremo Gramatica y Dayot, 63, in Uranus Street, Tumaga.

Police said Aquino sustained a bullet wound in the left lower ribs and was taken to the hospital.

Gramatica was arrested and a .38 snub nose revolver was recovered from his possession.

Police said that the shooting was a result of a simple misunderstanding among neighbors.

Police also recovered a slug of the said gun at the crime scene.

The suspect was detained at the Sta. Maria Police Station for the filing of charges in court.

Around 12:37 a.m. Friday, Earl Ahmad Tiamwat Bayabos, 24, single, of Tetuan was shot and wounded in Manggal Drive, Baliwasan.

Bayabos sustained multiple bullet wounds in the body and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Initial investigation showed that Bayabos went to Manggal  Drive to meet some friends but while he was in the area, two unidentified men aboard a motorcycle appeared and the backrider shot him several times.

The suspects sped away after the incident while the victim was rushed to the hospital.

Police recovered four spent shells and one deformed slug of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene. – Dan Toribio Jr.
