Furigay-led LP bets file CoCs in Lamitan PDF Print E-mail

The Liberal Party in Lamitan City spearheaded by re-electionists Mayor Rose U. Furigay and Vice Mayor Roderick H. Furigay filed their certificates of candidacy Thursday morning.

As of 3 p.m. only the Furigay couple together with Councilor Clarito San Juan,  Noel D. Baul, Rima H. Hassan, Mayra Kallahal, Sali A. Polo, Malik A. Uyag with former Councilors Joaquin “ Boy” Puri Jr. and Adjid Dalawis and two other two  persons filed the CoCs.

The Furigays and other party members trooped to the Commission on Elections office near Datu Dizal Gym between 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. for the CoC filing.

Mayor Rose Furigay thanked the people of Lamitan for the overwhelming support to her leadership, to Vice Mayor Furigay and her partymates.

“We will continue our vision and programs for the people of the city,” Furigay said.

Vice Mayor Furigay thanked Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Gov. Mujiv Hataman for his support to the city, the national government, Gov. Jum Akbar and the people of Lamitan.

“Our party is solid and united. We will continue our infrastructure projects, farm to market roads, for education and school buildings, marine protection environment, livelihood for farmers and fishermen to uplift their socio- economic status.

“In fact we need more skilled workers for our infra projects here in the city which is now  ongoing. We lack skilled workers here in the city. In truth, we hired skilled workers from Zamboanga City,” Furigay said. — Allen Abastillas
