A company worker was wounded while his two companions escaped unhurt after they were shot by one of two motorcycle riding holduppers along Lobregat Highway in Boalan early yesterday morning .

Chief Insp. Arlan Delumpines, Divisoria Police Station chief, identified the victim as Jencio Tacquiang, 43, an employee of the Alexa Enterprises based in Guiwan.  He sustained bullet wounds in the buttock and waist and was taken to the hospital.

Initial investigation showed that Tacquiang and his companions identified as Rosendo Colongan Tuling and Armando Tuling were riding on a motorcycle on their way home around 2:55  a.m.,  when two men aboard another motorcycle blocked their path and announced a holdup at gun point.

However, Tacquiang made a move to resist the holdup prompting one of the gunman to shoot him twice.

The holduppers sped away towards the city proper when Tacquiang fell on the ground.

Delumpines said the holduppers failed to  get any money or valuables from the victim. – Dan Toribio
