Man shot dead in front of cemetery PDF Print E-mail

A 26-year-old man was killed while his companion escaped unhurt during a gun attack along Veterans Avenue last Saturday afternoon.
Police identified the fatality as Albashier Zamora y Latupa, single, of Don Toribio St., Tetuan.

A police report said that Zamora and his companion Ronald Torres were standing at the gate of the Tetuan Municipal Cemetery around 5:25 p.m. when two men aboard a motorcycle appeared and the backrider opened fire on them.

Zamora was hit in the body while Torres escaped unhurt.
The assailants sped away after the incident while Zamora was rushed to the Western Mindanao Medical Center where he expired while undergoing treatment.

Policemen recovered five spent shells of.45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.
Torres failed to recognize the gunmen.
Police were looking into a personal dispute as the motive behind the killing. — Dan Toribio Jr.
