A highway patrol policeman lost his government issued gun and other valuables to robbers who broke into his house at Doña Feliza Subdivision in Mercedes last Sunday.

A report from the Culianan Police Station disclosed that the robbery was discovered at the house of SPO4 Vincent Acebedo Parame of the Highway Patrol Group and a resident of Phase 2 Lot 5, Block 13 of Doña Feliza Subdivision.

Initial investigation showed that Parame left home to report for work around 7:30 a.m. When he returned around 3 p.m., he was surprised to see his house in disarray.

Police said that robbers gained entry by destroying some iron grills and detached three window jalousies.

The robbers carted away his 9 mm pistol with 70 rounds of ammunition, Acer Laptop, e-machine laptop, a pair of Nike shoes, a power bank and a digital camera.

Police lifted some finger prints from Parame’s house as part of the investigation. – Dan Toribio Jr.
