A man was shot and wounded by one of two gunmen riding on a motorcycle in Canelar yesterday morning.

A sketchy report disclosed that the 58-year-old Ulysses Adaza y Simborio, A resident of Southcom village, Upper Calarian was passing along Canelar road around 6 a.m.  when two men riding tandem on a motorcycle appeared and the backrider opened fire on him in front of a private school.

Despite the bullet wounds in the body, Adaza managed to drive his motorcycle up to Canelar Presa where he collapsed.

The gunmen sped away after after shooting the retired cop.

One report said the victim is a retired policeman, while another claimed he was a former former army soldier and the gunman was a former policeman.

DZT tried to get confirmaion from the police but no one was available.

It was learned that Adaza is a driver-bodyguard of a prominent businessman who owns a  hardware store in the city. – Dan Toribio Jr.
