Nuño distributes 100 BP apparatus in District 2 PDF Print E-mail

District 2 House Representative Lilia Nuño on Thursday distributed 100 blood pressure apparatus to barangay health workers (BHW) under District 2.

The distribution was held at the Wellness Center of Barangay Tetuan in the morning and in Manicahan city late in the afternoon.

Congresswoman Nuño disclosed that this activity is DOH’s program being implemented nationwide through the congressional  offices.

Nuño stressed that this program is very timely following the launching and implementation of High Impact (Hi5) strategy that is geared to strengthening universal health care programs which covers maternal care, infant care, child protection, HIV-AIDS prevention and service delivery network, on the overall health care of the residents of the city.

The congresswoman believes that proper monitoring of blood pressure is vital especially to pregnant women as to prevent maternal death and other issues.

Moreover, Nuño promised to give her commitment in supporting health programs for her constituents in District 2.

Assisting the congresswoman in the distribution were her youngest daughter Lilibeth Nuño who is running for councilor, Kit Barredo, Jun Graciano, Rey Candido, Abdulbakih Sandag and IP Representative Ismael Musa.
