As part of Civil Service Commission’s commitment in aspiring to be Asia’s leading center of excellence for strategic human resource and organizational development by 2030, the CSC in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao will be establishing its field office in the southern most part of the country — Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on October 22, 2015, for a two storey building that will house the CSC staff and office.

With counterpart funds of P1.4 million from DPWH-ARMM, the CSC allotted P2.5 million,  while the lot area was donated by Tawi-Tawi pPhilanthropist Mr. Bonsan Go.

DPWH-ARMM secretary Don Mustapha Loong said that the edifice that will soon house the CSC field office in Tawi-tawi  as a measure of the agency’s vital role in the realization of the ‘Daang Matuwid’ banner of the current administration.

He also stressed the importance of “professional staff that will ensure the continuity and effectiveness of public service delivery.”

CSC-ARMM Director Leopoldo Roberto W. Valderosa Jr. and ARMM Public Works Regional Secretary Don Mustapha A. Loong led the groundbreaking ceremony.

Also present during the groundbreaking ceremony were CSC Commissioner Robert S. Martinez and Director Cecilia Dela Fuente, Tawi-Tawi lone district Rep. Hja. Ruby M. Sahali and brother, Tawi-Tawi Governor, Nurbert M. Sahali.

Officials and guests who witnessed the event were MSU Tawi-Tawi Chancellor Atty. Lorenzo Reyes and SB Secretary Maria Vema Gaticales who delivered the speech of Bongao municipal mayor Jasper S. Que Al-Hadj; DPWH-ARMM Tawi-tawi district engineer Tony Kamlani, CSCFO-Tawi-tawi Director Shastri Buddin, Provincial Chaplain Ustadz Sahid Ladjaalam and Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Eleno S. Balboa, OMI.
