Kidnapped Korean found dead in Sulu PDF Print E-mail

A Korean national, abducted in Roxas, RT Lim town,  Zamboanga Sibugay last January 24, was found dead in Indanan Road, Indanan, Sulu last Saturday night.

A military report said the body of Nwi Seong Hung, 73, was discovered around 10:30 p.m. stuffed in a sack and dumped at a secluded area in Indanan municipality.

The body was retrieved by the authorities and was brought to a funeral parlor for post mortem examination.

The report said that Hung had been sick after he was seized by the kidnappers who were reportedly demanding ransom for his immediate release.

Hung, who was into mining business,  was seized by members of a kidnap gang operating n Zamboanga Sibugay and was turned over to the Abu Sayyaf Group under Idang Susukan and Alden Bagadi.

The vcitim’s son together with the Consul General of the Korean Embassy claimed the body. – Dan Toribio Jr.
