Medical supplies and equipment were distributed yesterday to all east coast barangays to bolster medical services in the barangays health centers.
District 2 Congressman Erbie A. Fabian turned over the medical equipment and supplies to the east coast barangay officials and health care workers and volunteers in simple turnover rites at the Culianan multi-purpose covered courts.

Consisting of infant and adult weighing scales, spygmomanometer and stethoscopes, nebulizers, thermometers and other medical items were contained in boxes made out to each and every barangay in the east coast.

In a short address, Fabian said the medical supplies and equipment were part of his commitment in his program “Think Health” to help improve conditions in the barangay health centers.
Host Culianan Barangay Chairman Gilbert Alvarez expressed his profound gratitude to Cong. Fabian saying the medical equipment will greatly enhance services to the poor folks in far flung areas.
Sta. Catalina Barangay Chairman Belman Malandi said the medical equipment will afford barangays like Sta. Catalina a chance to serve poor residents with basic medical services which they otherwise could not afford.

Mercedes Barangay Chairwoman Rose Perez meanwhile said the Cong. Fabian has improved health services delivery right to the residents’ doorstep where normally people have to go downtown to avail of basic health services.

Manicahan Chair Errolyn Natividad praised Fabian for continuing his crusade to improve health services delivery to the far flung areas of the city.
The medical equipment were supplied through the PDAF fund releases of the city’s 2nd Congressional District Office.
Fabian further vowed to source funds anew to provide more medicines to health centers of the east coast barangays.

Last year the 2nd district solon made an initial outlay of various medicines intended for use in all east coast barangays health centers.
Assisting Fabian in delivering the medical supplies were congressional Political Affairs Officer Junie Camins, Congressional Office Chief of staff Abigail Bucoy-Marquez, and other office staffers.
