Three persons were killed in different places in Zamboanga Peninsula over the weekend.

Felix Salac Gumanta, 58, married, of Purok Paran, Barangay Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur was shot to death by a gunman Friday around 7:30 p.m. He sustained multiple bullet wounds in the body and died on the spot.

Investigation disclosed that Gumanta was inside their house living room when a gunman broke in and shot him several times.

Around 4 p.m., Jaimen Apidol y Ramos, 62, of Purok V, barangay Cayamcam, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay was shot to death by a gunman at Purok 1 of the same place.

Police said that Apidol was riding on a motorcycle travelling from Barangay Cayamcam to Barangay Taglibas when two men riding tandem on another motorcycle appeared and the backrider shot him.

The gunmen sped away towards Zamboanga City while the victim was declared dead on arrival at a hospital due to a bullet wound in the head.

Around 4:20 p.m. last Saturday, Crispin Soriño, 71, widow, of Purok Bombil, Barangay Gango, RT Lim, Zamboanga Sibugay was hacked to death by an unidentified person inside his house.

The incident was discovered by Arnold Dag-uman who went to the house of Soriño to recharge his chargeable lamp but he saw the latter dead with multiple hack wounds in the body. – Dan Toribio Jr.
