With strong performances from its micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the City of Zamboanga tallied in the highest number of sales in a four-day region-wide trade exhibition conducted in the City last October.

The City, through its participating MSMEs, raked in Php 6.57 M (52%) of the Php 12.5 M total sales made during the Zamboanga Peninsula Trade Exposition (ZAMPEX) 2015 held October 8-11, 2015.

Based on their sales, Eco Bottling Enterprises, a food exhibitor from Zamboanga City, emerged as the top performer and grosser from among the 83 participating exhibitors at the ZAMPEX 2015.

Sotto Delicacies, another Zamboanga City-based enterprise, was also among the best performing exhibitors. It was also one of the best sellers at the Philippine commodity trade pavilion at the 12th China-ASEAN Trade Expo in Nanning, China last September.

According to the ZAMPEX 2015 Post-Activity Report, the Php 12.5 M total sales included cash sales, booked orders, under negotiation, and prototype sales in both Food and Non-Food categories.

In addition to Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte also pulled in Php 3.27 M, Zamboanga del Sur Php 280,617.00, and Zamboanga Sibugay Province Php 2.4 M in sales.

Spearheaded by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the ZAMPEX 2015 featured the finest food and non-food products and services in the Zamboanga Peninsula region brought in by MSMEs, the Industrial Group of Zamboanga, Inc.
