The city government through the Office of the City Administrator will spearhead today a dry run of operations at the city’s multimillion Integrated Bus Terminal in Barangay Divisoria.

According to City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer and concurrent officer-in-charge of the Office of the City Administrator Dr. Elmeir Apolinario, the trial run will simulate actual operations at the bus terminal.

The mockup will involve loading and unloading of passengers bound to destinations east of the city, including the ferrying of travelers from the bus terminal to the central commercial district and vice versa.

Rural Transit, one of the bus companies that will use the facility once it becomes operational, will provide test buses to be used during the simulation.

The trial run hopes to accurately evaluate the readiness of the P180M facility and its personnel for full operation.

Pending the completion of all finishing touches and depending on the results of the dry run, the city government hopes to hold the soft opening on Sunday, November 15.
