Books and other reading materials were formally handed over to the various district learning centers of Putik by District 2 Congressman Erbie A. Fabian yesterday morning at Barangay Zambowood.
Appearing as guest of honor and main benefactor of the Zambowood Elementary School, Rep. Fabian officially broke ground for the construction of a multi-purpose covered court along with City Schools
Superintendent Dr. Dolores Alcantara, District Engineer Merham Accas and top barangay and school officials of the east coast barangay.

The reading materials consisted of basic English in both writing and reading, and basic mathematics.
The day care centers under the Putik District which were identified recipients of the reading materials were Lugakit, Baluno, Salaan, Pasobolong, Lunzuran, Divisoria, Putik, Boalan, Putik, Zambowood, Lumayang and Lumbangan.

On hand to grace the ceremonial hand over of the books and reading materials were top day care centers officials of the district headed by Putik Barangay Chairman Jerry A. Perez.
Fabian in a brief message during the handover stressed the importance of education and cited the vital role of day care centers as critical to the early formation of youngsters in the field of education.
Meanwhile, the 2nd District solon made good on his promise to Barangay Zambowood as he broke ground and laid the ceremonial time capsule at the barangay’s elementary school.

The construction of the multi-purpose covered court will commence July and will be completed by October of this year.
Zambowood barangay and school officials feted Rep. Fabian with a short program where they expressed their profound gratitude for his continued support.
Leading the grateful Zambowood contingent at the rites were Barangay Chairman Rommel Bacasong, school principal Floriano Lumagbas Jr. and Zambowood PTA President SPO4 Apolonio Rosete.

Schools District Supt. Dr. Dolores Alcantara praised Cong. Fabian’s strong support to the city’s education sector.
Alcantara added such support has driven schools to achieve academic, extra- curricular and sports achievements bringing honor and glory to the city. 
The project is one of two programmed for implementation in district II funded out of the Philippine Development Assistance Fund or PDAF of the solon this year.
The other multi-purpose covered court is lined up for Guiwan.
