A businessman engaged in the trading of fruits and livestocks was shot dead by one of two men aboard a motorcycle in San Roque last Monday night.
The fatality was identified as Hassan Hamam, married, of Rio Hondo.

Hamam died on the spot with a bullet wound in the forehead.
It was gathered that Hamam went to the slaughterhouse at Sitio Talungon in San Roque after an unidentified man believed to be known to him sent him a text message  asking him to proceed to the said place where they would meet.

When Hamam was waiting for the text sender, two men aboard a motorcycle appeared and the backrider shot him at a close range.
According to relatives, Hamam’s wallet containing undetermined amount of money was missing after the killing.

Recovered from Hamam’s pocket was a pawnshop receipt and a Rado Diastar wristwatch with serial number 02247460.
Hamam worked as a parking lot boy at Barcelona St. five years ago. Months before the killing, one relative lent Hamam money to start a business on fruits and livestocks. — Dan Toribio Jr.
