A former councilor and now aspirant for the vice mayoralty post in Isabela City was shot and seriously along Fr. Salvador St., Sta. Maria near the junction with Gov. Camins Avenue at dawn yesterday.

Sihon Indanan y Anji, 45, married, sustained two bullet wounds in the back of the body and was rushed to the hospital.

A police report disclosed that Indanan was driving his motorcycle along the said road around 12:20 a.m. when two men riding tandem on another motorcycle appeared and the backrider shot him three times.

The gunmen sped after the shooting their prey,

Police recovered three spent shells of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.

Follow-up operations have been carried out by the police  for the possible arrest of the assailants. – Dan Toribio Jr.
