Korean arrested for violence vs. women, children PDF Print E-mail

Police have arrested a Korean national for violation of Republic Act 9262 otherwise known as anti-violence against women and their children act of 2004 in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte.

Supt. Divin Ceriales, Dapitan City police chief, identified the arrested Korean national as Hoiyun Yu, 46, who is temporarily residing in Barangay Larayan, Dipolog City.

Hoiyun    is a native of Hangdong, Incheon, South Korea.

Ceriales said Hoiyun was arrested around 11 a.m. Wednesday in Barangay Larayan, Dapitan City.

Ceriales said Hoiyun has a standing warrant of arrest dated February 10, 2015 issued by the court for violation of Section 5(i) of R.A. 9262 with PHP60,000 recommended bail bond.

He said Hoiyun was temporarily detained at the headquarters of Dapitan City police.
