Police operatives confiscated big volume of shabu during a raid in three houses in Barangay Sangali early yesterday morning .

Armed with a search warrant , men of the Special Investigation Unit, Sangali Police Station, SWAT, ZCPSC, RPSB9 led by Supt. Felix Martinez and Chief Insp. Gary Bahoy  raided around 3:30 a.m. three houses of alleged big-time drug pushers identified as Larry Omar, Gapul Taman and Wahab Alih, all residents of Sitio Cambodia, Sangali, for violation of Republic Act 9165.

The search warrant was  issued by Judge Eric Elumba.

Police said the first house raided was that of Omar where they found no drugs.

However when the team proceeded to the house of Taman, they recovered two medium size sachets of shabu.

And when the lawmen went to the house of Alih,  he ran away and tried to elude arrest  with the help of Nur Isnail.

Isnail was arrested by the police and recovered from his possession were a .45 caliber pistol with two magazines.

The search continued in the area and the raiders  recovered six medium size and 4 small size sachets of shabu. At the house of Alih, the team found six large size sachets of shabu, an improvised shot gun  and several drug paraphernalia.

The search at Alih’s house was made in the presence of his wife Saleha Baddai.

Taman, Isnail and Baddai were taken to the police office while the confiscated items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examination.
