Identity of body floating off Golf Beach known PDF Print E-mail

Police have identified the body that was fished out of the sea near the Golf Beach in Calarian last Sunday.

Chief Insp. Hingming Ladjaali, Sinunuc Police Station chief, identified the victim as Mark Rey Sobrado y Palad, 21, single, a volunteer preacher of Iglesias a Dios and a resident of Urban Poor, Tugbungan.

Sobrado’s father, Raymundo Sobrado, 65, Sr.,  told the police that his son left home around 10 a.m. Saturday and did not return home until his body was seen floating in the water Sunday morning.

Police said the victim sustained injuries in the neck when the body was recovered around 9 a.m.

The victim was clad in denim jeans and was wearing no upper garment.

Ladjaali said that he and his men were still working on the case. – Dan Toribio Jr.
