Police and personnel of the Land Transportation Office conducted “Oplan Bulabog” in several areas in Barangay Recodo last Wednesday afternoon.

The team was headed by Supt. Ariel Huesca, commander of the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company and assisted by a K9 team.

During the operation, Huesca’s men discovered two houses where drug users were engaging in shabu sessions, but latter scampered away upon the arrival of the lawmen.

The raiding team seized several drug paraphernalia inside and outside the two houses. They also confiscated a gambling machine.

Moreover, policemen also issued 22 temporary operators’ permit to 22 motorcyclists caught violating traffic laws. Six motorcycles and a Mitsubishi Adventure were impounded, citation tickets were issued to 18 drivers caught violating the city’s traffic ordinance.

Another motorcycle was also impounded after the driver was caught with traffic violation.

Police requested personnel from the LTO to be the proper officers to determine traffic violations during their operation. – Dan Toribio Jr.
