Reloaded grenade exploded outside doctor’s house PDF Print E-mail

An unidentified man lobbed a reloaded grenade into the residential compound of a physician along Alfaro St.,  Tetuan last Friday night.

Supt. Nonito Asdai, Tetuan Police Station chief, said that the explosion took place at the residence of Dr. Roberto Climaco y Uro, 68, of 242, Don Alfaro St., Tetuan around 3:30 p.m.

No one was hurt in the the explosion.

Asdai quoted the house occupants as saying that  they heard a seemingly mild explosion and not as loud as that of a fragmentation grenade.

Asdai said that it was an empty MK2 fragmentation grenade which the suspect reloaded with explosive powder and lobbed it  into the Climaco compound.    The blast caused no damage to properties. — Dan Toribio Jr.
