Police have forwarded to the City Prosecutor Office a murder case against two young men who shot and killed an engineering student along Emerald Street, Johnston Subdivision in Baliwasan recently.

A relentless investigation following the killing of Abdurahman Omar y Alamia, 23, of Villa Teresa Subdivision, Mercedes, led investigators to the identities of the suspects — Mohammed Effendi Salim alias Fendi, 21, of Johnston Subdivision and NipoteryTulawie alias Nip, 19, of Sta. Maria whom witnesses pointed as responsible in shooting the victim.

The murder case was filed through  a normal filing that was submitted to the prosecutor office for preliminary investigation under IX-06-INV-15L-00488.

Omar went to Johnston Subdivision after he received a text message from a certain Nip telling him to go to  the said place around 12:07 a.m. of November 18.

However when he arrived aboard his motorcycle, unidentified persons shot him repeatedly.

Omar was rushed to the hospital where he expired.

Police said that the suspects will be arrested the soonest time upon the issuance of  warrant of arrest. – Dan Toribio
