Ten unregistered pumpboat engines were confiscated as police ramp up coastal patrol in Zamboanga City.

Operatives of the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company under Supt. Ariel Huesca conducted patrols in the barangays of Sinubong, Patalon, Labuan and Limpapa all in the city’s west and inspected documents of the pumpboats operating in thereat that led to the confiscation of 10 engines.

Police said the operators of the seized pumpboat engines failed to present registration papers whih is a violation f a  city ordinance requiring all watercraft engines be registered with the City Agriculture Office.

The seized engines were turned over to the CAO for proper disposition.

Meanwhile, Alsadam Bandahala y Sampang, 25, single of Campo Islam was arrested for possession of shabu.

A report from the Sinunuc Police Station disclosed that no less than the mother of Bandahala sought the assistance of the police after he went wild in  their residence.

When policemen held Bandahala they recovered a sachet of shabu and a sachet of dried marijuana from his possession.

Bandahala was detained at the Sinunuc Police Station pending the filing of charges in court. – Dan Toribio Jr.
