Men of the Sangali Police Station under Chief Insp. Gary Bahoy have forwarded to the City Prosecutor Office a double murder case against two persons who brutally killed a girl and her mother last month.

Police identified only one of the suspects — Erwin Gallarde. Both are at large as of this writing.

Initial investigation showed that witnesses pointed to Gallarde and his cohort who stabbed and hacked to death Emmalyn Gallarde y Pacquiao, 33 and her four-year-old daughter Ricame.

Police said described the forwarding of the case as ‘normal filing’  and as soon as the case is raffled off to court and warrant of arrest will be issued for the suspects.

Erwin who is a relative of the victims was pointed to by witnesses who was with a companion when they hacked and stabbed the mother and daughter.

To recall, on November 21 around 3:30 p.m. the bodies of the victims were recovered by Emmalyn’s husband along with their relatives who were looking for them after they failed to return home for more than 24 hours.

The bodies were found at Camp Socorro, Upper Bunguiao.

Emmalyn and Ricamae went to a store about one kilometer away from their house around 3 p.m. of November 20. They failed to return home that prompted Emmalyn’s husband and other members of the family to search for them until their bodies were recovered the following day. – Dan Toribio Jr.
