Carnappers nowadays no longer choose their victims.

Last Tuesday,  Police Officer 1 Salma A. Bakili went to the Highway Patrol Group 9 office and filed a carnapping report and involving her motorcycle that was stolen in their rented apartment  on December 12 at Bulahan Drive, San Jose Gusu.

Bakili described the motorcycle to HPG-9 Case Officer Sr. Insp. Mervin Claret  as a black Honda XRM 16029127 with plate number 2623.

According to Bakili, the motorcycle was stolen while parked inside in their rented apartment. The thief was able to enter premises without making any noise.    “Parang alam nila yong lugar namin Sir. Parang binabantayan lang kami para magnakaw yong motorcycle. Inutang lang po naming yong motor Sir,” Bakili explained  emotionally.

Sr. Supt. Joel R. Dimaano, HPG-9 chief ,directed the group’s Special Operations Team to monitor and check all motorcycles in all roads while they are conducting anti-carnapping operations.

In another development, Dimaano conducted a command visit  and checked on the ground personally the HPG-9 operatives and their welfare  in Bongao Tawi-Tawi recently. — Allen Abastillas
