City grants cash aid to Talon-talon fire victims PDF Print E-mail

The City Government the other day distributed financial assistance to 36 families displaced by fire that hit kilometer 4, barangay Talon-talon shortly last October 25.

Mayor Beng Climaco, assisted by personnel from the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and City Treasurer’s Office and the Talon-talon Barangay Council officials personally handed over the cash assistance to the families in simple rites held at the barangay hall in Talon-talon Tuesday, Dec. 15.

The cash aid is apart from the earlier assistance provided by the City Government in the form of relief goods and food packs.

Of the total 36 families displaced, 20 are house owners with totally damaged properties with P5,000 cash assistance each while 16 are house owners with partially damaged properties with P3,000 cash assistance each. The city shelled a total of P148,000.

Last December 10, Mayor Climaco also distributed financial assistance to 264 families affected by the October 5 fire incident in Murga Drive, Tumaga.

Of the total 264 affected families, 141 were house owners with totally damaged properties, 120 are house owners with partially damaged properties while 3 are house boarders with totally damaged properties.

The city released a total of P1.069M for the cash assistance distributed during rites held at the Tumaga barangay  hall Dec. 10.
