The Rotary Club of Zamboanga City -East celebrates today its 41st year Anniversary. Highlighting the celebration will bethe Awards of Excellence ceremony with three of its members recieving the distinguished service award and the lifetime achievement award.

Former Zamboanga City Mayor Jose Vicente F.Atilano II (past president of the club and Paul Harris Fellow) will be honored the highest award , the lifetime ACHIEVEMENT award.

Distinguished service awardees are former vice mayor and mayor Efren Arañez also past president of the club and Businessman Lope Iringan who served twice as president of the club and a multiple paul harris fellow.

The awards of excellence which happens for the first time in the history of the club was conceived to honor the club’s members who have dedicated their lives to share the ideals of Rotary International “Service above Self”.

Invited to join in the celebration today will be Rotarians who were instrumental in   the creation of the club,Zamboangueño Rotary District 3850 past district governors, current rotary district officials and presidents of the other rotary clubs in the city. (RC-East PR)
