Three boat crew members  were reported missing after a fishing boat capsized off Sacol Island last Monday night.

Police said that F/B Marlene-1 skippered by  Romulo Carcueva Jr.,  with 23 crews was on fishing venture around 11:30 p.m. near Tumalutab, Sacol Island when it was battered by big waves causing it tp capsize.

While the vessel sinking, only 20 crews were rescued by crews of F/B Krisha Mari-4.

Three of the crews identified as Roy Mula, 24, Raymark Sadio, 30, and Jomar Montohen, 20, all from Luzon, were still missing.

Coast Guard personnel were still on search and retrieval operation for the possible recovery of the three crews.

The boat is owned and operated by Sanny Francisco of Gov. Ramos Avenue, Sta. Maria. — Dan Toribio
