Army soldiers captured two Abu Sayyaf members in separate operations in Basilan last week.
With its intense Internal Security Operation (ISO) efforts, the Army’s 32nd Infantry (Daredevil) Battalion (32IB) under Lt. Col. Rosalio G. Pompa captured Asrap Jamiri Musa and Jadil Minuri Ministri in Lamitan City.

Asrap Jamiri Musa was apprehended June 23, 2011 at Sitio Patikol, Barangay Matatag, Lamitan City. He and his brother Musana Jamiri, were involved on the kidnapping of Engr Virgilio Fernandez.
Jadil Minuri Ministri was apprehended on June 26, 2011 at Sitio Tinambakan, Barangay Maganda, Lamitan City. He has been involved in several terroristic activities with the ASG and was wanted for murder and arson.

The successful neutralization effort was brought by the support and cooperation of the residents of the said barangays, whereby, through their accurate and timely informations, 32IB was able to deliberately execute plan to neutralize said ASG members.

In a statement, Lt. Col. Pompa credited the local populace in the area for their unyielding support and cooperation that led to the success of the neutralization effort.
