The City Government on Monday conferred to members of the industrial sector a recognition lauding their support to the Interruptible Load Program (ILP) which helped reduce rotational power interruptions in the City last 2015.

During the first flag raising ceremony of the year, Mayor Beng Climaco recognized the 11 industries which enrolled and participated in the ILP as part of their corporate social responsibilities.

The ILP participants were: the Philippine International Development, Inc. (PHIDCO), Mega Fishing Corp., Ayala Sea Foods Corp., A. Tung Chingco Manufacture, Inc. 1 and 2, Permex Producer and Exporter, Corp., VL Fishing Corp., NY Marine Resources and Ice Plant Corp., NY Fishing Corp., Century Pacific Food, Inc., and Garden Orchid Hotel and Resort Corp.

“According to the ZAMCELCO report, a total of 1,002,500 KW was deloaded from the grid from May to October 2015,” announced Investment Promotion Officer Apple Go Monday morning, January 4.

Go said ILP operations have already wrapped up and the corresponding incentives will be given to the participants.

The ILP was a countermeasure launched by the City Government focusing on demand-side management solution to mitigate the power supply strain during the summer months of 2015. — Jasmine Mohammadsali
