Police and PDEA agents launched raids in three separate places yesterday early morning.

City Police Office Information Officer Sr. Insp. Helen Galvez disclosed that operatives of the City Police Office, KTFZ, RPSB9, RHS9, PDEA9 and RID9 conducted a “one time, big time” operation by serving eight search warrants on some houses in Baliwasan and San Jose Gusu.

Galvez said that the raiding team composed of 236 personnel and officers searched the houses one by one.

However at target house “A” owned by a certain Val, no illegal drugs or guns were found.

At target house “B” owned by a certain Alvin, he was nabbed along with three female companions and recovered from their possession were drug paraphernalia and a small size sachet of shabu.

At target house “C” owned by Al, the raiding team arrested a certain Jumong, the target of the search and recovered from his possession were a sachet of shabu and drug paraphernalia.

At target house “D”, the raiding team did not recover any contraband items.

At target house “E” owned by Undoy, policemen nabbed him and recovered a sachet of shabu and paraphernalia.

At target house “F” owned by a certain Simata, raiding team did not recover anything illegal.

At target house “G” owned by Mumer Akali, he was nabbed and seized from his possession was a 99mm pistol.

At target house “H” owned by Hja. Miriam Akali, no illegal items found.

All apprehended persons as well as the seized items were brought to the Central Police Station for the filing of charges in court.

Meanwhile, men of the Sta. Maria Police station led by Supt. Haywien Salvado served a search warrant on a dismissed policeman in Barangay Pasonanca around 5 a.m. yesterday for violation of Republic Act 10591

Salvado disclosed that during the raid, they arrested Allan Binosa y Mutuc, 45, of Island Drive, Pasonanca.

The team recovered a .45 caliber pistol with three magazines and a fragmentation grenade.

Binosa failed to present papers legalizing him to possess the gun and the explosive.

Salvado said that the search warrant was issued by Judge Gregorio Dela Peña III of the Regional Trial Court dated December 29, 2015. – Dan Toribio Jr.
