Six people aboard a mini-bus were injured after it crashed along Lobregat Highway at Sitio Mala, Bolong Sunday morning.

Injured were Danilo Guerrero, driver of Lizamay bus with plate number JVG 180, Sahara Alih, Bernol Manalo, Marivic Glarian, Jawhal Tucalan and Kolong Otto, all passengers.

A police report disclosed that the bus was carrying more than 30 passengers coming from Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte heading for Zamboanga City when the left front tire blew up at adescending portion of the highway at Sitio Mala.

Guerrero swerved the steering wheel towards the right to avoid colliding with incoming vehicles. In the process, the bus bumped two old trees and fell on its left side due to the strong impact.

Guerrero and the five passengers were immediately plucked out of the bus by some helpful residents who responded to the accident.

The victims were rushed to the Zampen Hospital in Putik for treatment.

Mr. Nolito Arcillas, owner of the bus company, assured that they will answer all the hospital expenses of the victims. – Dan Toribio Jr.
